But if you are still in the dark and do not know how to make a kicker ramp, relax, as I am here to help you out.

There are different types of kicker ramp, but our main focus today is building a skateboard kicker ramp. Skateboard kicker ramps are usually small and portable in size, and as such, do not require too many woods to build.

So, we will be explaining carefully to you how to effortlessly build a skateboard kicker ramp that can be transported easily from one position to the other.
Note: This process applies to all kinds of kicker ramps, but as a skateboarder, you should be more focused on building a portable one for your skateboarding purposes.

Below are the materials needed to build a complete skateboard kicker ramp?

• The first things to get are woods (1 or 2 thick plywood). These woods should be at least 2 feet wide and 4 feet long.

• Get your screws ready! Note that all screws aren’t of the same size, as they are to serve different purposes. So, get 20 1″ screws, 24 1/2″ screws, and 2 3/4″ screws. The purpose of these screws is to fix the metal bottom piece together.

• Lastly, get a piece of thin metal of about 3/16 thick, and should be at about 10 inches. x 4 feet long. You can get all the above-mentioned materials at any of your local skateboard or hardware shop.

All you have to do is visit any of the above-mentioned shops, and tell them your purpose of coming, I bet they will supply you with the necessary materials needed to build a skateboard kicker ramp.
Apart from the above-mentioned materials, other tools that you will need to set up your skateboard kicker ramp are:

• Circular saw to saw your plywood

• A measuring tape

• A pencil

• Different screw drills for different purposes. Types of drills needed are; Drill w/ proper bit, 3/16 drill bit, and 3/8 drill bit.

Now, after you have successfully gotten all the listed tools, cut all the materials (like the woods) into shape and arrange them accordingly. Cut the plywood 1/2 at 2 ft. x 4 ft, cut the lumber at 23 inches each, cut the plywood 1/2 at 2 ft. x 1 1/2 inches, cut the thick steel metal at 10 inches. x 4 ft, also endeavor to cut the side pieces as well.

As you already know, a kicker ramp can be made of different sizes, depending on your choice. But on the piece, we will be working on how to make a kicker ramp of 2 ft. x 3 ft. 5-inch x 1 1/2 inch.

Kids or teens younger than 16 should not cut the materials themselves. As a kid, you can ask for the help of your parents or an elderly person to help you with the cutting of the materials, as this will prevent you from getting injured.

A simple way to get an accurate measurement for all the pieces is to first cut and get your first piece measured, trace it to your second, etc.

Haven cut and measured all your 2×4’s (being 23 inches. long) cut pieces, and stacked them all in a pile next to your side pieces. The very next step is to structure your kicker ramp to make it very strong and last long.

Okay, after cutting your 2×4 pieces and framed the ramp with the first three wood pieces, attach the last three 2×4 cross-members.

Haven carefully followed the above procedures, get your screws and attach all the pieces. The next step is to cover up the framed kicker ramp by adding a sheet of plywood and screwing down the sheet.
